Useless Paperweight ???
Funkyworm:
Ok this came on the Wilson I just purchased ,
Any ideas what it might be (Its quite large) ????
Im guessing its nothing of note but it just looks bizarre enough that it might be a bit of interest ??? Might also be a good blunt instrument to hurt people with.... :knuppel2:

Callum let me know if you want to sell or trade the stem please :daumenhoch:
Tachikoma:
Looks like some cheapo GT copy to me. The fact that the cap bolt holes run right through the back of the stem body says a lot about the quality to my mind

Its a 1982 Piranha Stem came out well before the GT Mallet & is much bigger in size.
Came on these: http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/piranha/45415

Deffo cheaper end of the spectrum on a piranha then.
I see a lot of stems like this on early French bmx, except they tend to be pressed steel.
Probably a well sought after stem if you had a piranha build on the go :daumenhoch:
