LAST EVER MK
richiebozza:
As has been said previously, £25 for adults and £10 for kids is beyond reasonable, those prices cannot be complained about...especially when think about how much everything else costs in this scene, what old school parts can you even buy for £25 !?
Mikku:
Noooo! Please don’t let this be the last one!! I can’t make it over this year but was planning to be in Blighty in time for MK19!!
I wasn’t there to see them but if the size and cost of the event is becoming an issue, do you really need the big names there, particularly from the US? That might make things more manageable generally. Just thinking out loud, so please feel free to tell me to shut up and/or sod off! :daumenhoch:

I'm only able to come down on the Saturday this year but where else could I get a bite to eat and a few beers with my mates on a Saturday night for £25? Fook me, anyone not happy to pay such a small amount for such a load of effort really shouldn't come
I am very lucky to have been to MK in many different forms over the last decade and am really looking forward to having my kids and the missus with me this year so they get to see what I've been going on about all these years. If it continues in another form I hope to keep coming as it truly is THE highlight of the BMX calendar by miles :coolsmiley:
See you there :daumenhoch:

I am ashamed to say I don't even know which of the forum members are responsible for putting it on. I know of 2 or 3 who have consistently been visible, but Im sure there are many working behind the scenes that help make it happen. For what its worth all of you guys deserve a medal. I have been every year for the last 6 years, and it is by far one of the highlights of my year. Further to that (And Im not sure you are aware), it is hands down the biggest old school BMX event around the world. I have been to a few in the USA, including the "Big" BMX Society show, and none of them come close. What you guys have created is truly special.
As far as passing the torch I fully appreciate that some things reach the end of their life span, and the work involved must be a tremendous effort. With that said, all of your effort is truly appreciated, and for every "piss taker" there are hundreds of us who truly value what you guys are doing. Hats off to all of you involved. :daumenhoch:

I was at the very first one and looks like I'll be at the last one 😢.
Mk has always been the no1 meet up for us old bmx nutters and I for one will be sad to see it go.
Some great memories over the years I've had at that ole track and made some of the best mates I've ever had in my life 😎.
Its not all about the bikes for me its more a chance to get to see the lads I've known for years but only get to see at mk.that will be the bit I'll miss most if it does end.
