McQUEEN:
Hi Nick,

nice one, great to see this as the Dynos are often overlooked in the UK scene...

I have this survivor 85 Compe, but do  not  have the time just yet to build up. Often toyed with changing it to the 86 orange colour, but as an og finish its pretty good and it wouldn't be era correct...

I once read that the top tube on the Compes is actually the down tube on GT Performers....I'm not sure if true, but I could believe it considering the Dyno/Gt tie in...

This is a great thread for info: https://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=538921

I've been lucky enough to meet Bob Morales a few times...one of the nicer guys in the scene bitd!

That Swan Guy:
No the bend in the top tube was added to make it unique. The prototype didn’t have it originally. Nice bike but sell me those wheels!!!!!  :LolLolLolLol:

McQUEEN:
"no"? not talking about the prototype, talking what you have which is a production build.

Yeap, the top tube was a GT Performer downtube welded in the other way. Same factory, less machining.....but yes, BM did say it was added in as a unique design feature....
