Fire at ROM Skatepark - help a Radster out - MK Ramp Fundraiser

Gutted to hear about this today

Not just because ROM is a fantastic place - we all had a brilliant day there only last Friday

But especially sad to hear that Rad Legend/MK sponsor/All-round lovely bloke 2BobRob had his Radii workshop there and has lost everything (including the MK ramps  :'()

I've just spoken to Rob, tbh I was expecting to have to announce that there would be no ramp jam this year BUT despite this all happening he is still 100% committed to making it happen

What this means to us lot?

It's a chance to do something different from before with the Ramp area
I'm sure a bit of help wouldn't go amiss

How can you help? 2Bob isn't looking for a handout BUT there's nothing to stop any of us helping towards him getting the MK ramps built. The ramps he was storing for us are just piles of ash and burnt wood now so he has to start from scratch :'(

1) get yourself a fantastic Ride Steady tee shirt - all profits straight into the pot
2) send a personal / friends & family donation to rad@radbmx.co.uk and put 'MK ramps' in the comments box. I will make sure he gets every penny raised to ensure he can build us the best possible setup without having to dig into his own pockets

Looks like a bad one from what I've seen on faceache. I didn't realise it was Rom until late morning.

Can we get a collection bucket going at MK for it?

Well....

We already have the ramp fundraiser tees that Ed designed (Ride Steady design)
Any money we raise from those will go into the ramp fund and you get a fantastic shirt out of it  :daumenhoch:

Rob isn't looking for handouts personally BUT there's nothing to stop us from helping towards the MK ramp fund - although we do give him something from the RAD pot towards it normally (when there hasn't been a fire) this still doesn't cover all the labour and additional costs needed to assemble/dismantle a full set of ramps in 3 days - as anyone who has seen what he does will tell you it's a massive and largely thankless job he's done for years and it would be great if we could pull together a bit now and show him just how much we value his contribution to an amazing weekend

I've been chatting with Rich/Nick/Carl and we will do what we can to help
If anyone wants to donate anything directly, I'm more than happy to co-ordinate and send to him (just put 'ramp fund' in paypal comments and make sure to pay it to rad@radbmx.co.uk as a personal/friends & family payment).
