DIA COMPE MX 1000A?

I have just bought a caliper off the bay thinking it was a DC MX1000 but on recieving it it is stamped MX1000 A on the back and no date stamps....is it just a copy MX1000? the quick release etc looks right....i haven't hjad a pair for a while so nothing to compare it to.... :-\

A lot of the calipers stamped MX1000A were Lee Chi or Formos. About the best Dia Compe copy from back in the day.
