Right, ive come across a few interesting Landar bits recently and a spot of research has thrown up some interesting musings.
I think we all know that Landar were just importing Taiwanese parts and putting their own label on them but its come to my attention that some of these part aint half as bad as we would all think they are.
Ive got a landar chainring, nos in the bag that has super duralumin stamped on it. Yes the same super duralumin you see on Alun, SR etc that we all think are decent.
Next up are these pedals spotted ont museum. Obviously VP 747s but in a Landar box!

Turns out they went bankrupt in August 86!!! Surely the downturn in bmx hadnt begun then so cash flo or stock issues perhaps?
I know they were heavily stocked by one of the main distributors and no doubt there are plenty of us who were kept rolling by affordable Landar parts so anyone have any info on this?

I was only talking to Tony the other day about the idea of us doing a Landar build together using only parts made by the big L ...  :daumenhoch:
