I’m really sorry I bought it out from under you, but I had no idea you existed back then. I mean... I still would’ve bought it. But I’d have felt guilty about it. Probably.  :2funny:

Really grateful to take part in this, thanks Ady  :daumenhoch:

Andy1970:

Just a quick update to what been done.
Wally had a set of Araya 7x with red at the rear , blue at the front.
I had a set which needed a good refurb and decided to use these, plus no bugger would reply to my wanted ad   ::)

Had a few scuffs used my sander from 600 to 2000 to remove , then wet and dry on my block sander with great results..

Onto my buffer using black block first , then green , and brown .

Then finally a bit of mother’s job done..

Shame I got too spray them as they came up super minty..

I messaged taipan as planning on spraying these puppies and recommended using this stuff.
He has used it a few times with great results.

Made a start on the rear wheel.
Masked off the sides .
Degreased wheel then tack cloths.
Bit of cardboard for my home made spraying booth..

Only needs very light coats , the more coats the darker the anno effect , it runs very easy so light coats if planning using .
This stuff requires heat for it to cure hard.
Luckily my oven just big enough to place a wheel inside.
I pre heated the oven at 180’ turned it off and placed wheel inside .

Few days passed started too build the wheel using stainless steel spokes .
Missus wasn’t happy using the bespoke dinning room table but needs must lol..

This truing tool is great .

Here is a great site too work out the spoke lengths.

Plus a simple detailed guide to building a wheel x3 crossover.

They came up pretty good..

Will update when the front is done..
