Both are nice :daumenhoch:

I’ve used 422’s on many builds, powdered up or polished they look great and are a pretty solid stem. There is a lot of anti-Burner snobbery surrounding them, but I never let that stop me. They’ve gone up oin price over the last couple of years I notice.

I’ve got a couple of 422’s and have just bought a 420 for my silver streak build. Easy to restore and cheap as chips. As Dan says seem to bringing a little bit more than they used to but if you look around can still be bought for around the £25 mark. Been a couple of Aerox stems up for £40 recently. SE and GT both to name a few used SR parts so can’t be that bad :daumenhoch:

Thanks again guys. I’ve bought a SR aerox stem listed as nos which still needs to be shipped. I looked at the pics again and thought FOOK. This looks painted and not anodized! Did they come in both finishes or just ano ? Them bolts aren’t marked either ! Does this look refurbished rather than nos ?
Avro:
SR stuff usually come painted. Even their chainwheels have a 'ano-look' but it is a painted treatment.
I do not know if this is true of all SR bits but certainly true for many.
