Seat Post Question
BMX1973:
Is it o.k to use a chrome steel seat post in an alloy frame?
Thanks in advance.
Chilli Rinse:
I think you should be ok but other radsters with loads more knowledge than me will know for sure. I know if you put an alloy post in a steel frame there is a possibility over time the post will seize/fuse itself in. With a chrome finish I can’t see that happening. Please wait for some other replies as this is only my uneducated opinion.

Hope you get the definitive answer soon

I agree with the above :daumenhoch: thing is most of the problems are when somebody buys a frame thats had the post stuck in it for 30 odd years! thats when the problems arise ;) fit it and lubricate it best you can and you'll be fine :daumenhoch:
PS...dont leave it in there for 30 odd years tho lol :D
