Agreed Damo, quality stuff. I find jobs like that quite therapeutic tbh. It only took half an hour from start to finish :daumenhoch:

Each to their own i guess, i would spend 3 times as long making sure i had painted a stem perfectly! Ans would find it equally therapeutic! Restoring a freewheel would have me throwing tools all over the gaff!!! :daumenhoch:

:LolLolLolLol: about the tools. Hats off to you because I wouldn't be confident enough to prep, then refinish any painted parts knowing it has to be spot on. Kudos to you !

Cool bike man. I remember lots of this sort making their way over.

Progress report...
I have decided to swap out the brakes for the reasons mentioned above. This is stupid because it means a colour change and different levers, tyres, grips, cables and seat post clamp. I had the tyres, cables and grips so had to buy levers and I'm working on the clamp. I bought a great lever bundle from the museum and a pair match the calipers. The brakes, tyres and grips and levers are on. I discovered the lower rotor cable was damaged so I'm waiting on a replacement before I can finish this old girl off except for the clamp. It is an obvious colour change but I will keep you guessing for now. Maybe this weekend I will have some pics to share.
Oh yeah, nearly forgot to mention I have swapped out the seat too. It suits better than the Dyna Max :daumenhoch:
