2hip Root Down take 2.
Midschoolfool:
OK. Wheel and new hub.
Pissed around working out the required spoke length. I need 184. The most popular size. The ones on there are 180 and the flange is smaller, but the hub I am fitting is wider between the flanges.
Stripped out the rim.
Pedals went on.
And tyres.
Midschoolfool:
The paint arrived yesterday arvo.
And then some parts came with the postie.
Headset, BB, seat clamp and spokes.
Then Fedex turned up.
Those bars boys. Seriously those bars.. I can see why they RRP at 90 quid. This wasn't intentional. Sheer fluke
Had a play in the loft and built up the bars etc.
And then full of dread I decided to take on the wheel. And...
I did it ! I actually F-ing did it ! I even gave it a smile whilst I had the hub to hand :LolLolLolLol:
Hilariously it is literally 1mm out of true. Just like it was on the other hub (don't do stairs fat ass !)
I could actually piss my pants right now. Once the tool comes I can true it up properly. But man, what a feeling !!!!!
Midschoolfool:
OK. So seeing as I was on a roll (yawn) I decided to keep going. Took the DNA sprocket out to the garden around 7 and hit it with the stripper.
Note. It has been sanded in that pic. It has also now been masked. I will take a pic tomorrow. All I cared about was the CNC letters. Such a tech nerdy thing. And they look amazing. So yeah, got a few ideas for this one.
Midschoolfool:
As it's happening. So if I mess up you'll see it messed up :LolLolLolLol:
