The Execution of old parts ! FBM Guillotine
Midschoolfool:
Yays.
I drew this up last time I was home. Am home now.
Have ordered cream vinyl and will make it stroked in black to match the DT decals.

I hesitate to say this (because it's not my bike/build and I know you did a great job to make it fit) but... I'm not feeling that silver headset now! It looked good in the mock-up build but with the new colour scheme it stands out too much for me. There, I've said it, it's out in the open! I'll shut up and crawl back into my hole now. :-X
Midschoolfool:
That was why I didn't like the nuke ring.
I could have course paint the headset without too much bother, but the brake and wheels are polished too. I could paint the brake of course, but not the wheel set.
I suppose I will have to see what it looks like when built. Stem is polished too.....
I think the decals will help somewhat. Whether I would go down a huge rabbit hole on a hugely cheap build though? I doubt it.
Oh yeah, of course. The pegs are polished too :LolLolLolLol:
BTW, seriously, do go ahead and give your opinions. I'm quite a liberal guy but I am certainly not made of frozen water :LolLolLolLol:
As I say, if there weren't so many polished parts I would deffo change it. Thing is there are. It was just what I was left with.
Mikku:
All's good mate! They say never judge a painting until it's finished...
Plus, as you say, there's lots of other polished parts going on, so it should come together well. :daumenhoch:
Midschoolfool:
I'm pretty sure that it would look better all black and murder purple. I am not a huge fan of polished parts tbh. That is probably why most of it left over is polished :LolLolLolLol:
Not spending any more cash on bikes at least this year. I neglected a few other things, like upgrading my PCs (plural, I have like, five) and other stuff, so I use the down time in the winter for that tbh. Especially as we game a shit load more during the crap weather.
I should be over next week. Taking a break from it at the moment, though to be honest all I have to do now is literally just bolt it together (the easy part). Then I need to shift it over here (to my flat) with the Kink, and shift the Dirt Bike NG over to the loft with the rest of the tanks. I also need to lug that Morales up there as it's still sitting waiting for me to bolt on the final two pegs in the dining room.
Oh yeah, this is what the TT decal should look like once I get over and cut/assemble.
