Still got this to build, been sat in bits since last Sept. The loss of my Dad in Oct 2022 has really knocked me for six .My builds have been Put off as he always loved assisting me with the bearing press and applying the decals and generally getting involved in old school BMX. I will struggle to enjoy the builds with out him, but now I need push myself to get it build for the Midlands old school BMX bash👍.

Sorry to hear that Steve. Dad and building buddy is a pretty cool relationship to have had. My dad helps me out on bits and bobs sometimes, it's time well spent. I am sure the finished build will be one you can both be proud of

👍Very true chilli we spent a lot of time together on the building , restoring and collecting hobby, over thirty builds. Great to see your Dad helps you out every now and again.I always bought two sets of decals, because you could guarantee Dad would put one slightly wonky are creased

I said goodbye to my uncle over christmas, who was the closest thing I have had to a father since mine died when I was 7. Just hold him in your heart, and don't forget to speak to him often. He will always be there.

Sorry to hear about you loss. Guess I was lucky having my Dad for 53 years. I'll definitely take your advice, and speak to him every day from now on . Steve👍

Indeed. It is better to count blessings. I have a photo of those I have lost in the kitchen. Every morning when I make coffee I tell them I love them. It really helps, because it is like they are still here with me.

Lightly built up the Champion to see what she looks like. Swapped the rear Suzue hub for a Shimano coaster. The Shimano DX pedals are getting swapped for some og MKS BM10's. Still need to ream out the seat tube for the gold Race Inc post to fit and am waiting on an Izumi chain.

I started the Old School Mystery Build on Thursday evening. I ran into issues with my lugged Apollo build so it's been put to one side for now. I'm sure you will like the bike getting the spanner time 🔧
