What to do when the bikes only take up space?
« on: February 07, 2026, 07:08 PM »
I have room for all the bikes, for now at least, I love to have them in my front room. No big collection, just four bikes but all are complete.
Some time ago, maybe a year or more, I did contact an online retailer about the bikes possibly being for sale but I never got a reply. I thought I might get a reply, even if negative, but nothing.
I am reluctant to go to Ebay, I once worked at a business that ended up trading on Ebay pretty much exclusively and had to deal with the horrors of fraud first hand: Ebay always paid for the fraud, it was so frustrating. However, as a private seller, I had overwhelmingly positive experience but that was some years ago.
Advice? Please don't say Facebook! Anyway, I am open, other than Facebook!!

Do you want to sell them all together or individually? If the former, then I guess you'd be looking for another collector and the Museum is probably your best bet for that, if you can deal with the added hassle of overseas shipping. Obviously, it all depends on what you're selling and how much you're asking/wanting, etc, etc. I guess you could always try on here first as well. :daumenhoch:

I will be upfront with you I sold mine for stupid money. £2750. For the lot, and it was a lot. Losing the least would mean piecing them out, something I just really couldn't be bothered over. I also won't sell on Ebay because they want total access to your bank account and that ain't happening. So I sold them to a mate and they are gone and I have never felt better about a decision.

The way I look at it is they brought me an awful, awful lot of pleasure and got me through my second divorce. So the loss of money didn't matter one jot as I never spent a penny on them I could not afford to lose.

I am glad I am no longer tripping over the bloody things.
