Got to be the WD 40 trick then cos in his tuff resto thread he says he uses dye  :-\

lol...i only dye badly faded tuffs...for a quick resto, scrap the rim clean of brake residue with a stanley blade, dragging it as apposed to cutting, then hit the rest of the wheel with 800 then 1000 grit wet and dry, then the obvious......wd40
