motomagII:
got 1 wheel to dye from pink to black how much dye and salt is needed please and what is the dye are there different ones'thanks sorry to ask thisd again as i know its been done to death.but theres always another q to ask
ORB:
Nylon Specific dye.
A big bag of salt
lots of heat.
lots of time
lots of dye.
Sanmarcopizza:
It will cost ya. I normally use 2 tubbs of Dylon multipurpose dye for a seat, so probably at minimum 6-8 at a guess. Probably 1-2kg of salt. Don't forget you need heat otherwise you got no chance. Best set up I've seen for wheels is a metal drum over a calor gas ring.
kdw712:
like sandro said heat dye and salt
i blagged a drum and and basically filled with just enough boiling water to cover the wheels
add dye salt & wheels. I covered the top to help keep heat in
and lit a small BBQ underneath to keep it as hot as poss
results were bloody good
kdw712:
these wheels on my sons bike
were off white aero zytecs from Alans
now they are pure black !
