Much appreciated, very kind words Jimwise and I think you're right about the credibility thing.
I've been obsessed with the ET for years and did a load of research into them before doing mine. The key thing was credibility back in the day, and while Kuwahara had bucket loads and to some extent so did the film, but as we all know the combination of the two didn't quite ring true with the us 'the kids' who dreamed of being Harry Leary rather than Elliot. What they did create however now sums up the essence of BMX history during that era and in turn created what I believe to be one of the prettiest bikes that exists. After all I'm sure as kids we all kept looking at that famous ad from 1982 full of dreams and desire.
