UK and US made Tuff 11s

Hi All,

Is there much difference to the Tuffs made in the UK to the ones made in the USA?

My TA came with a US rear and a UK front.  The front has developed some hairline cracking along the moulding lines on the inner hub around the spindle, but is solid to ride and the rest of the wheel is fine.  The rear is mint.

Would I be better selling these seperately or as a pair?  I may sell the whole bike on Ebay (With a silly BIN!!!) or here if there is any interest, but I really want to keep the frame and sell off the components so any advice on the wheels would be appreciated.

Cheers

Rich :daumenhoch:

I didn't know they made Tuff's in the UK  :-[

Your always better selling a bike in bits, tho its more work, you get much more money for it  ;)

There is no difference in the wheels , the only thing i can add is that the UK coaster rears always had the hubs bolted in rather than rivoted , other than that they are the same .

One other thing is , the cracks you talk about .....i have had a load of white tuffs and a load of them have had hailine cracks around the hub area , and only a few have been good wheels ,its common to find the cracks in that area ........
