Firstly, are you actually going to ride this thing? If you're not, don't fook around with anything that's going to 'weld' those babies to your bars (like hairspray) - it's not worth it. Use soapy water, then when it comes to taking them off, just use water to remove.
If you're planning on riding it, then go ahead and use hairspray/wd40 or sommat like that

Altho I can see where you're coming from, never had any probs 20 years ago using this & still works fine now for either putting them on and getting them off.. Each to their own I guess!
