BTW, do I need to get the f+f rechromed 1st, or is that part of the process?

I think yu will need a good chrome underneith and no, it would be a separate thing. This smoke effect though is mentioned in the same breath as 'bright nickel' although my leary is deffo chrome underneith... the plot thickens
