Mongoose Cali' seat post diameter

Anybody know the size of seatpost to fit an '84 Cali'? 22.2 just drops into the hole, and rattles around. It does get clamped tight, but not happy knowing the post is not held right in the tube.    :)   Thanx,  G.

My 85 Cali is similar, doesn't rattle around but isn't snug. Seems ok when clamped though.
