bike alarms at rom who remembers them

in about 1982 i was at rom and someone had brought some bike alarms down
for all to see they where on a cord that wrapped around the bike throu wheel and plugged in near the handle bars
does anyone else remember these .

i had the lock that bolted thru the stand hole o db.s and gooses
lol .that you slid thru the wheel
.always forgot it was on and rode off lol
wrecking a few sets of wheels
