Side Hack Build - Help Needed !!

Hi

If this helps at all, all I remember from riding, building them bitd was that you got a basic idea of sizes that would fit the frame and the riders (width of platform, frame top tube length etc as these all vary for each person and bike). Then got a bike that could be used, then used a template made from copper pipe. This was cheap, easy to bend, can be fixed with tape, screws, or joints (at the builders / plummers you could get - 45 and 90 degree bends and straight connectors) to get it to fit and look correct.

It was then adjusted to fit, and usually after even more adjustment and tweaks, you ended up with a good template. This was then sent away / made in house in metal, with good joins, bends, welds etc and hey presto, a side hack...if it felt wrong after a few races you then just cut it and adjusted it, or started again.......

I think it will be pretty hard to get a specific design to fit any frame as they are pretty much all different.

Some good designs here though - http://anthonydomingo.com/hack/
