nylon , depending on the grade ie ny 6 or 66 (66 being best)will resist most chemicals better than any other substance except PTFE (teflon to you and me , the stuff you put on your riders chain/present on your fryingpan) Ptfe will resist every substance known to man except mustard gas and is still the most resistant substance known to mustard gas there is, it also has the lowest friction coefficient of any solid known to man(hence the use as a lubricant )   , it is also has the greatest working temperature spectrum of any man made substance , it will maintain its properties between - 450 and 300 deg c  , its amasing if your interested

so how do they get it to stick to the pan, if its non stick?

it has properties similar to most non oil based plastics , it can be bonded at extreme temperatures to any surface , incidently its the reason why superglue doesnt stick to the tube
