are tuffs essential on a mid 80's ride???

but tuffs seam to finish em off nice i had a set bitd but i killed em in the first few months of havin the bike but i was a bit of a crash test dummy back then !!!!!! im hopein the ones iv got now will last longer  :2funny:

tuffs are the dogs weena and mx1000s are sweet as fook  my arayas do stop betterer but the tuffs do it for me
