I always had Araya BITD and never really considered having Ukais but since I started putting OS rides together I have built both NOS Araya 7X and Ukai's, the upshot of this is I completely changed my opinion of UKai's as the manufacturing quality is better than Araya and they build much easier (Pro Class are poor quality compared to Araya or Ukai)

i used to ride zeds n tuffs mainly but i did have a few sets of arayas BITD (81-83) and i remember ukais well but never went for them, as ukais, around these parts, were known for being lighter than arayas so obviously they were not as strong, used to love ukai the rim decals tho.

Now im a big boy, i know this was bollox, but tho i still have a soft spot for arayas, i do appreciate that ukais are the superior rim
