threading forks

(1/1)

selfpreservation:
ive got a set of forks for my MTB and the headtube is too short for them , can i get threads put further down the steerer and cut the top off , if so where can i get this done and how much is it likley to cost

cheers ciaran

hunterdubber:
I would n't try buying a tap and die cutting set and doing it yourself coz cycle threads are different to normal metric threads

A good cycle shop should be able to do it for you though  :daumenhoch:

Rombloke:
why not use spacers below the lock nut????

its mucho mucho easier

Dave

selfpreservation:
cause it still wouldnt fit the steerer is a lot longer
