Cruiser Gearing

What gearing are people running on their cruisers?  I just got my GT out the loft and at the moment it is set up 44-16. I took it to Braintree last night and it was far to high.  What is the best set up to get the same feel as 44-16 on a 20"?

lower the front

39 - 16 or something like that  ;D

diesel:
41t or 42t front / 18t rear

41T Front 17T Rear for me.

got 41-18 on mine at the mo.... think 41-17 would be better tho
