Aero Reflex Build process

BarryZola:
Hello there. I've created this thread so that i don't have to keep making a new topic everytime i come across the smallest of problems with my first build. I've had next to no experience of actually taking bikes apart and putting them back together, just did a bit of fun riding in my teens. I'm 24 now and have suddenly had the urge to get into it again. So basically i'm learning as i go along and i'd like to ask advice when i'm not sure about the smallest of things if that's ok. I'll also take pics as it progresses if anyone's interested. I'll try not to bore anyone ;D

Firstly, i've just received 2 sets of skyway tuffs from ginnys (thought i may aswell get 2 whilst they were coming quite far and i'm planning on another build at some point). They've arrived after only about 5 days which i'm chuffed about, with no charges or anything added by customs. So they've come with all the nuts and bolts n stuff, but now i think i need a freewheel. Which one do you reckon i should get? Does it matter? Many thanks!

rarman1:
you can only fit 16t or higher freewheels on skyways get a dicta or shimano and go for

16(rear) to 40-44(chainwheel/sprocket-front)

 ;)

BarryZola:
Thanks mate, appreciate the advice. I've been out this afternoon and spotted one for a six quid which looked good quality and happened to be 16T. Can't remember what make it was now but it was nice and shiny so i thought i'd give it a bash. Thanks mate. I can always change it if it's not great. ;)

BarryZola:
Well, i tried screwing the freewheel on that i bought yesterday. It screwed on fine but doesn't look right. Part of the freewheel protrudes past the thread on the tuff. Are there different widths of freewheels? Am i being an idiot here :idiot2:

I'm takin those freewheels back to the shop this afternoon, they can fu**in keep 'em ;)

It might help if someones got a close up pic of what it's supposed to look like.

highrisedrifter:
Don't know if these are any help to you.

Sorry for the crap images.
