do proper z rim pads stop logo being rubbed out on side of wheel?

hi chaps and ladies, got some nice z  black rims on a db silverstreak , do the correct pads stop the logo being rubbed out on side of wheel? - not ridden bike with these rims on because im worried like a little girl it will rub out, whats your experience?
