candy colours, sure their not metalics
superbikedan:
again would like all the help on this one, get loads of pms about candy reds, blues ect, but where these frames
originally candy colours, i know some where but looking at a lot of bikes to me most look metalic,
candy is a very expensive process of between 3 to 4 coats to achieve the finish, powder is one coat,
and metalic can look like fine candy :idiot2:
if you where a bike manufactuer would you use a 3 coat process or one thats one coat and cheaper to obtain the
same finish :-\

Hi
My local powder coaters in Aldershot can do a green with red fleck (or something like that) which looks like a metallic. I don't know where they got the stuff from but perhaps other colours are available.
I had a particular interest in this stuff as I want to get a Historic Kart chassis finished in the original blue which looks metallic but according to a few people who know its something different. It was made in the early 60's so wether it's something that is still available I couldn't say.
