Got the chance of a pair of nos mx1000 calipers and levers for £60 would this be a good buy?

if they are NOS or in really good condition Yes.

Zippy:
All depends on the colour I guess. Pink and Lavender wouldn't be that good a deal at that price. Although you could strip them and have a cheap set of silver calipers.
