Decent bike shop in London
Preston Pirate:
I'm currently building an old school GT Performer up and I need to find a decent bike shop in london that can source and fit a headset and a gyro to the frame.
Any sugestions, the shop the bike's with at the moment are taking the mickey, they've had parts on back order for 6 weeks now >:( >:(
Thanks in advance
James

for oldskool stuff pass but try alans hes got the stuff you should need
and fitting is very easy do it ya self
Preston Pirate:
I was under the impression you needed a head set press to fit the headset, can I fit it using a wooden block and a mallet?
Any help would be apreciated as the shop that's got the bike is really getting on my wick now!
Sanmarcopizza:
A couple of lumps of wood and a hammer is te generally accepted method for DIY cup installation. I did however invest in a cup press as I have a tendancy to build & then re-build bikes on a regular basis. As Rhys mentions, they are easy to fit. You just need to decide what it is you want. If you can get down to Dartford, OT Cycles are one of the few shops still holding old school stuff in the south east.
Preston Pirate:
Ah! cool, in thaaaaaat case I'll go and pick the frame up and get down to OT Cycles as I'm only a few mins in the car from there.
Cheers for the help folks!
Much appreciated!
James
