Freecoaster advice please

(1/4) > >>

highrisedrifter:
I had never heard of a freecoaster before yesterday. I don't remembe them BITD either so I guess it must be a mid/new school thing.

I'm very interested in getting hold of one for one of my bikes. I can see that Vert-Ego sell them:

"ACS FREECOASTER ADAPTER
NEVER USED MADE BY SUNTOUR FITS
SUNTOUR AND BENDIX COASTER HUBS"

So by the description above, I need to get a rear wheel with a normal coaster and then use this adapter on it.

Do Skyway wheels come with a Suntour hub and would one of these adapters fit it, please?

If there is anyone who has a freecoaster that can help me out, I would be grateful.

Many thanks

HRD

harris:
i take it you are intending it for an old school wheel.
or are you after just a freecoaster hub in general.
but as you asked the adapter will fit straight onto an
old school coaster hub skyway or similar .
new school nankai,or odyssey or mid try a rollex .

CD17:
There are not that New, I think the RL freecoaster came out around 86-87.

Iv got a Peregrine 48 Freecoaster Hub at home, they are very much like the Shimano Coaster hubs & the inside parts can be swapped, so you could make a 36 H freecoaster.

highrisedrifter:
Thanks chaps.

I think I might get myself one of those and have a look at it.

Cheers
