Ah yeah, looking closer I can see it's still there now ... you got a barain there for 95 €uro  :daumenhoch:

Yep, definately an 87.

That was the year they went to the double bend downtube...but they also updated the 'classic' Performer and sold it alongside the new design. The main update was the inclusion of those cable guides on the underside of the downtube...much better braking!

Anyhow, here's the relevant bit from the catalogue (with an early 'fudged' frame - they later went to solid dropouts):
