help before i ghost ride it into traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rakas17:
i'm trying to get my hawk f24 up and running and its got a horrible creak when putting pressure on while pedaling. i put a new chain on it, same. i tightened every up , same. i changed the back wheel , same. i changed the chain wheel, it had gone. i looked at my chain wheel that was on there and it had a little bur on every tooth so i thought it might be catching on the chain. so i set it up on the lathe and cleaned it all up, put it back on, same :'( :-[ :( >:( :2gunsfiring_v1:
its a dmr one and i supposse its for mountain bikes, does this mean i'm using the wrong chain, my chain is a kmc £5 jobby. do i need the other (racing) size chain and would i need a new freewheel too.
please help before i smash it all up in a fit of rage...

Lazarou:
In my experience creaks like that are usually caused by the pedals.
harris:
back the crank arms of then grease then re tighten.
stodgys 26" started doing this ,it was the arms being an arse
then back the pedals of and try again then re tighten
rakas17:
but it didnt do it with the other cd!!! does what i said about the chain size thing not make sense?
harris:
is it inline correct ,turn upside down and look down from chain wheel to freewheel see if its offset
