Ok guys need your help?...The Superb Parcelforce company :2gunsfiring_v1: delivered a bike for me and the guy I sold it to says that the rear drop out has been severly damaged in transit! :2gunsfiring_v1: What can I do about it? Can I claim off them
? how do I go about it as I haven't been in this position before :( help and advice needed please :-\

sonic-1:
depends if yer packed it properly yer allways need to put something between rear drop outs n realy pack each end of the frame
first off the guy who receved it will need to claim as its not in the condition yer sent it

theRuler:
i've rec'd a frame and forks wrapped only in a bin liner before, and it was fine.

doesn't matter how good you pack it, parcelfarce can still destroy it, if they want to.

some of them are fooking animals

i think they just single out certain packages and drive over them in a van

oberonspacefruit:
was it insured?

i sent a guitar to spain, and it got fooked. they paid out in full.

Timmeh:
Get hold of Consumer Direct (trading standards) 08454 040506 or on line.  May need to check on Parcel Farce's disclaimer/ Terms & Conditions on carriage of items though...should be some level of insurance included.

...if you paid for a service, it should be carried out with reasonable skill and care by the company/ representative of the company.  Reasonable means 'what the man on the Clapham Omnibus should expect'.  I.e. joe bloggs, you or me.  Also depends if you are a business or a making a private contract

A BMX frame doe not just 'bend', so some feckin' gorilla has treated it quite badly (have worked in air freight and seen these mammals at work...).
