Flite crank help??

<< < (2/4) > >>

bof:
It wont be metric Im sure of that. It should be really easy to take out. Just use a punch or a small metal chisel and tap it round until it comes out. then when there is enough to grab grab it with pliers or mold grips and carry on turning. or another alternative is to hacksaw across the top of it and take it out with a screwdriver. :)

theRuler:
buy an internal stud extractor

you drill a 1/8" hole in the bolt, then screw in the extractor - when it bites it starts to undo (as it screws in opposite)

GREMLIN:
As above  ;)

RATTY:
I was going to try the stud extractor but what i needed to know was can you drill hardened steel?

GREMLIN:
I should think so. The Redline bolts aren't the toughest. The 401's i bought the other week had to go to an engineers to have a snapped off bolt removed the day before i got hold of them  :daumenhoch:.  G.
