KNOCKED OFF ME BIKE PICKY OF WHEEL NOW

Thats a crap thing to happen.

I've been hit by cars a few times, I hardly ever ride a bike on the road now. The goverment want us reduce our carbon footprint, then they don't build any cycle paths near me, just more dirty great bypasses. So for now unitl they make it safer I'll stick to my big diesel drinking Merc van. >:(

That sucks,

but as Zed points out, getting knocked off is a great way to get your bike upgraded..... most drivers don't have a clue as to the price of bike parts.....they always say they'll pay for the damage, thinking it'll be cheaper than an insurance claim, so just replace anything even slightly damaged with top range parts, saying that's what you already had.... the guilt and shock of nearly killing someone usually means they will fork out even when they get the £500 bill (having witnesses or getting the police involved at the time usually helps)..... It's worked for me and friends on many an occasion....
