DK Stems - what is the timeline?
« on: August 19, 2007, 06:36 PM »
I've had a search and scout around but cannot find too much about what styles were around and when.  I do know that in 1985 DK stems were available in Pro, Mini, Cruiser (inverted) and Freestyle but do not have any pictures in the magazine scans that I have.

So, does anyone know what the timelines are for the various DK stems with pictures?

cheers

Marty  :daumenhoch:

All I know is I had a DK freestyle stem in 92-93 when I got back into BMX for a year or so, I thought they were from around this time as I don't remember them back in the mid 80s when I stopped riding.

Thanks for that, shame it does not tell us a great deal, it would be interesting to know when they introduced the round edged stems  :-\

They went through a few changes...

square base/square cap
square base/round cap
round base/round cap
thick round base/round cap
thick round base/round cap/new logo

or something like that....
