help complete novice problem with gt

the problem i'm having is when pedaling its fine one minute then it'll slip pedals go round but the wheel dont, so is it a prob with the rear sproc, it has skyways on it....so is this a easy fix or a shop job....

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A NEW REAR FREEWHEEL TO ME - JUST SIMPLY REMOVE AND USE A NEW SHIMANO OR SUNTOUR ONE - THERE ABOUT £10 - £15 ON THE BAY. MIGHT NEED TO SOAK THE OLD ONE WITH WD40 AND THE USE A REMOVAL TOOL OR HIT WITH AN OLD SCREWDRIVER AND HAMMER - THE NEW ONE WILL TIGHTEN ITSELF WHEN YOU HAVE REPLACED IT BY PEDALLING AS HARD AS YOU CAN - HOPE THIS HELPS
