diamond back frame numbers

hi with a bike serial number is it unique to the model or is just year of manufacture, batch number etc. i would like to find out if 3B0084 is a number for a harry leary if possible.

I'm taking a hunch on this but I would imagine they are not unique, I only say this because I've seen some DB serial numbers with the same year and batch but different models. Also It was not unusual for Diamond Back to use an old frameset for another bike, e.g, a Senior Pro Frameset built up as a Silver Streak to meet demand.

3 - Year (1983)

B - Batch

0084 - 84th build of that year

Only the geometry will prove which model it is.
