will a bench vice be anygood for pressing bearing cups in?

a vice works well. try to soften the blow to the cups though, with some wood or rubber or summat.

Have used the hydraulic press at work before :crazy2:

the only thing to watch out for when using a vice for this is the axle alignment will be out and theres nothing to hold the spacer in place,

try pushing the cups in with the axle in place by swapping the vice from one side of the cup/bearing to the other, like 1 turn/squeeze on eack side,
