Haro sport and master top tube length

the sport is longer than the master, is this due to mike d's personal preference or was it always gonna be a longer frame, ive been tempted in the past by the odd master but i far prefer the longer sport for riding, why didnt they make a longer master option? i reckon they wouldv been cool
