Am I in the minority?
Flying_fox:
I've raced bikes on and off for the last 24 years, it's in my blood.
I do like riding 'freestyle' now more than ever, but I do tend to hang out near a jump box, or at some trials. Jumping more than freestyle probably, I've never been a trick pony.
I love BMX what ever. :4_17_5:

I am a BMXer, thats all it was called when I started before the "label police" divided us :police:
and before that we went "scrambling" on our Grifters and racers with cow horns on 8)

As Mark said above, before BMX, there was "scrambling" on our Grifters.
Then BMX arrived and the mags mainly showed racing, so that's what we got into. But we still mainly rode our bikes in the woods, at the skatepark or on jumps make out of bits of wood and milk crates.
I think Tim Ruck once had a quote in Invert/Ride that said "BMX is BMX is BMX" (with a pic of him doing a fakie fence ride). I think that sums it up nicely. If it involves riding a BMX bike, it's BMX.
We need King of Dirt Comps back at the races!
