The only tuffs I remember having a cassette style sprocket were coaster versions.  Maybe these have an 'uncoaster' conversion kit?

Clive, the early Tuff II's like these had a cassette freewheel, definitely not a conversion, I had a black pair of these bitd and remember changing the rear cog for a 17t one.

Easiest way to tell if they are both steel hubs is to get a magnet and see if it sticks  :daumenhoch:

WARDY:
got the old fridge magnet and sticks to front and rear :daumenhoch: so they are both steel hubbed. the only thing i can think why the front is slightly lighter is that the bike came from greece and the bike was in his shop window so whether this caused the front to fade a touch?
