seat dye

I have a Blue Elina ET seat that I want to dye black,I  have read some of the threads on this topic so I have an idea on how to go about it.My question is will this affect the gold ET and Elina lettering?.Thanks.

Basically you need a couple of Dylon Multipurpose black dyes, a bag of salt, boiling water and you are away.

It doesn't effect the gold lettering on Kashimax's so i doubt if it would on an Elina.  ;)
