redline identification (NOW WITH PICS) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bob_Acid:
What's the difference between the MX's and the A's?
Bren Gunn:
The only difference I can see is a small gusset behind the seat clamp area on the 600a ( like the RL20). Other than that they look the same.

Hi,
I have this - REDLINE KC 07872
Thanks Fordy for the info in post - http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=3067.0 that -
--- Quote ---looks like an 1985 500a to me. 1983 600a frame numbers run in the 2000's
--- End quote ---
But, does the A, B, C, D, E not mean year then, and the R, K etc mean model?
With mine now stripped and cleaned and if it is a 500a (what is the difference in 500, 600 etc?), is it worth me sorting it, or is it shite?
NB - the post has been welded and painted, but i'm sure could be made good again.
Thanks
greentoad

hi there, i put the original post in this thread with the pics of the rusty frame rd00238. thanks for the replys .am i correct in saying that my frame is an mx2 (i thought it might be )built in 1984.but would the numbers mean the bike was the 238 mx2 made or 238 redline made in 84 .or is there a differant use for the numbers..im still somewhat confused. i was surprised to learn that rd meant the year ,i just presumed that it was for the model .this is probably why im asking you guys the questions......it does look just like the blue one, with no gusset behind the seat post ,this seems to signify the differancebetween the 600a and the mx2 ?, except my bike is now white and much less rusty than before. this was the real reason for my interest so i could put the correct stickers on.by the way does anyone know where i could get a white/red redline pad set from cause ive looked everywhere..jim

While you're all flexing your brains, any idea what this one is ?
