Ditto (and ditto what Alex said too).  I lived up North in the 80s, but whenever I came South to visit relatives I always made them take me to Alpine at High Street Ken so drool over stuff we just never saw in JE James, Langsett and AB Wheels (our local bike shops in Sheffield).

I bought my first proper number plate from Alpine.  An MCS Hot Plate.  I'd always had Halfords dinner plates before that.

Vans

OK, I have had a quick scan around and Ive taken a few snaps of the Vans Ive found. Not all mine.



First, 3 pairs of mine:

The classic high top. Are there any freestylers who didn’t have a set of these?






Then my “work” shoes. Smart enough to get away with at work, but I can still have a spin on a bike at lunchtime, no probs. (This is what I see when I look down from my office chair)






These are my “smart” shoes. I got these in 1991 and they are the old “weddings and funerals” shoes. I haven’t worn them much.






Now, some of my wifes shoes (all size 4 ish):

Her classic high tops






Flip flips






And a total Gem, some red and white checked lows, still with the OG box








And finally, one of the Crowmans pairs. I work with him and I just went and took this pic. He said he will make an effort tomorrow and put on some comedy Vans, just for this thread.
