Is there anything I can do with these cranks?

I found these at the back of an old bike shop and was well chuffed as I really needed some,

that is till I realised none of my takagi, sr & sugino chainrings would fit neither would other mtb & road rings I had.

And then to top it off I realise that for some strange reason, on of the pedal holes has been drilled out to 18mm or so.

They are Thun 170mm cranks, made in germany. The pedal holes are supposed to be 14mm.

Ive heard that its possible to get inserts for stripped threads put in, is this easy? is it worth it?

And is it even possible to get hold of a chainring to fit?

ANy help greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone thinks they could use them, let me know.

Wow really!

what are the chances of that?

yeah it is my drive side that is sporting a large hole.

Thing is it mustve been done for a reason? surely they originally has some sort of insert or why would someone drill them out?

I take it you know what chainrings might fit these then?
